The worm appears to have been developed by an international group of hackers known as 29A, who specialise in creating viruses and try to show "that no technology is reliable and safe from their attacks".

Not the kind of people I'd like on my bad side.

Yeah I read about that the other day. Things are going to get rediculous once everyone has internet/email on their cellphones. The more people use a product or service, the more people we'll have abusing and breaking that product or service. I fear a day when my cellphone is now the main target of spam and pr0n. Hopefully the telecom companies will stay on their toes with security issues so they can be fixed before they become a problem. No electronic device that can recieve and interpret commands is completely safe from e-harm these days.

I see virus writers/hackers have gone from being individuals to organizing into groups. It's only a matter of time until they start doing digital racketeering.

"We're going to need your DOS protection money now."

That is a day I do not want to live to see.

Well I know I won't be using software, that's for sure. I prefer my trusty Linksys router, which I plan on using for my phone as well

And I don't know why you guys are scared. Remember, we are the informed group! We will always be "in" with the newest technology and computer hardware, so of course that means we'll be well read on the security that will be developed for these issues.

Yeh, I don't want to have to go out and buy anti-virus/firewall software to put on my mobile phone :|

I just hope mobile phone developers are able to do bring in hardware firewalls for their products soon...
