The support is good. Just google your chipset for nix graphics drivers.

You've got some good thread resurrection action going on, Thermo.
![]() I ended up installing Ubuntu Hoary on my backup/server box, which has an Intel 865G northbridge. There's a pretty common problem in Ubuntu with X refusing to go higher than 640x480 with 845G/865G, but it was quickly fixed with a simple addition to the relevant config file. It's a little upsetting that I had to do /anything/ to make my display work correctly when using a ridiculously popular graphics chipset. The fix was easy for me, but for a newbie (a large part of Ubuntu's target audience) it could be daunting. |
