I need help pushing this system as far as possible. It still stays at 36C overclocked 30%

I'm having trouble with the Manual overclocking on the motherboard, it's an Asus P4P800-E Deluxe. Right now it just uses the 30% "AI" overclocking. If I could turn that AI into manual I could be able to push it farther but I don't know shiz about Manual.

Here are the specs from CPU-Z:

interesting, it lowers your bus speed when you use AI overclocking. you might be able to hit 3.3 or so on air, depending on your setup. What kind of ram is that? Kingston value?

2.4A

thrawn, it doesn't lower the bus speed... the bus is stock 133 on a 2.4A

3.6ghz on Air

maybe more.

4ghz if you push for it.

4Ghz? I don't think so. Not even w/a Vapochill unit.

There's quite a few (in the world of 2.4A overclocking, quite a few is not a lot) people who've reached 4ghz with basic water cooling.

It's known to be one of the single greatest overclocking chips ever.

So how would I go about putting this chip at 3.4GHz? That was my goal.

I don't know how to configure it manually. I can give you all a list of options it tells me under manual if you need it.

well i'm not familiar with the bios on your board, but for 3.4ghz you will need to set the FSB to 189mhz.

dude, it's a prescott, not the old P4 "A". I see chips in the high 3's and low 4's on not-that-great cooling on XS all the time.
