i think it is a ps problem because i turned on my computer today after school and i was just talking to friends online and checking e-mail, wthin about 7 minutes my computer shut off.

would that be a memory problem or ps?

i dont think it is a memory problem.

would 430 or 480 watts ps be good?

The standard test of system memory is MemTest86. Get yourself a copy and make a test disk. Boot the system with the disk and it'll thourghly test your RAM.

It doesn't run inside of Windows. You make a boot disk (either floppy or CD), boot from that, and then run the program.
