Shure E2c Disappointment
Well, after much reviews and search (more search than reviews.
), I finally got one! Much to my dismay, I was rather disappointed in the SQ dept...Is it just me or does it sound way too flat?!! No bass either... I mean, I didn't expect much but this sounds almost like *gasp* cheap $20 earplugs! :-x My HD-497 sounds way too good... Is there a earphones that sound close to 497? Or is this a lost cause? And I mean for under $100... I was looking forward to doing a review on it but just poor SQ made me not want to do it... Sure it has a great build quality and the isolation is great but if it wasn't for openness of 497, I'd rather walk around with it than use E2c... Is E3c better in SQ dept? Shucks... do I have to walk around with HD-212Pro's?! ![]() |

Well, I started using the foamies now... I must say it does sound better... still a bit muffled sound... but improvement nonetheless... Bass is a bit improved... but treble/high is not any better, if not worse...

You hold on to that thought... I have to say that the foamies are bit better fitting... isolation is kinda like "huh, what did you say? don't just move your lips, say something!" level... But sound does get muffled... Ah well... I will give them some more time. I wish I had these on my flight to and from Korea last month! Shucks... they could've helped me sleep much better probably! |

So Recon...
Now that you own mine, what do you think of them? I know you got them mainly for isolation... but still... ![]() |
