laptops do get hotter if you have a powerful CPU, it all depends, if your laptop still works fine. then it should not be a big problem them.

I have an R40 and my fan does not spin and gets very hot, and will occasionally cause my computer to turn off... when attempting to turn it back on it beeps twice and says "fan error" and will not boot up. After it cools down for a while, i am able to turn it back on.

Is this a physical problem with the fan itself?

Possibly a relay of some sort?

Some type of software or virus problem?

Thanks
