My new toy
![]() so far so good, I really like this player. not hard to use once you read the manual, nice features like USB Host(handy for moving pics off a digital camera when you don't have a computer handy), video playback (need to convert first and not the best video because of the small screen but good for catching up on TV shows). Also has a radio which is nice when travelling to catch the news. only down side is that you need a "subpack" to connect the USB, power, line in, and line out so I better not lose that |

Nice toy!!
How much was it?? Does it support DivX and/or XviD encodings? A full review to help boost this site would be nice... ![]() |

not sure if I have time for a full review. it will only play videos that are converted to the players format, the app comes on the CD. it supports converting avi (including xvid and divx), mpg, and wmv. it was $400 CAD shipped, got it from here: http://www.ncix.com/products/index....Cowon%20America |

So how long does it take to convert say 350 MB DivX Avi?
That's kinda annoying though... having to convert, I mean... |

it was like 10 minutes I think when I did an episode of Rome.
just started a 700MB DivX file (all I had handy) and it looks like it's going to take 20 minutes, of course CPU power probably plays a roll in the length, I have a Athlon XP running at 2.2GHz and a gig of RAM |

Ok... still. I wish it supported it directly (simple drag and drop). Oh well... enjoy it!
