HP laptop power problem

I have a HP laptop Model ZT1000. When I plug in A/C power adapter in. All the lights glow up and stay on and nothing happen and i can not do anything nothing working. Any body know what the problem is. Please help me. I am appreciate.

Does the laptop have a working battery that powers it on? It's either the laptop or the ac adapter.

If your laptop has a media port on the side, look into purchasing XC1000 cable (about $30 or so). It has, in addition to other audio/vidoe functions, power connection as well.
