pc won't power up

I recently moved and when I hooked up my desktop computer it wouldn't power up. Was not bounced around during move and only was unplugged for 2 days, any thoughts, thanks.

Do you get any fans or lights when you press the power button? Be sure and check the switch on the back of the PSU. Your powersupply itself may have gotten turned off.

I once had a similar problem, it turned out the fuse in the power cable had gone (Never figured out why.). So it may be worth trying a different power cable, if all else fails.

Good luck.

I had similar issues before, when moving around my college campus year after year. As such, I would start at the easy places, and check memory seating, IDE cable seating, etc.

If that fails to remedy the problem, unplug anything non-essential from your motherboard and start from there. If this does not work, the problem looks to be a faulty power supply or a blown fuse inside the power supply. Given the physical bouncing throughout the move, I am betting your motherboard or other components are not dead. If anything, I'd bet on the Power Supply.

I am not sure how technical you are, so please let us know your skillset, and we can help walk you through the process, if needed.
