If you haven't tried it then I highly urge you to try Mozilla Firefox. In my opinion it is the best web browser! Not only does it block pop-ups, but you can also block annoying ads that are embedded in websites including shockwave/flash based ads (with the installation of flashblock extension). additionally, firebox renders pages VERY fast, it's lean, it's mean, and not suseptible (i probably spelled that word wrong) to the security holes that Internet Explorer has.
I don't wish to start a flame war over browsers but I urge anyone who is sick of pop-ups and also would like to be able to block ads to try Firefox. I've used Firefox for almost a year and haven't turned back.  oh yeah.. I almost forgot: you can get it at www.mozilla.org |

I remember I couldn't get 0.8 to work... never even saw the light of the day!!
 I hope this .9 works... Here's to seeing what is better on the other side! |

could you explain in some detail why it didn't work? "it didn't work" is too general of a comment. i have never had any problems with firefox.
