I finally entered the 21st Century when my GF3 died and ordered a 9500NP refurbed off of Newegg. Anyways, I was wondering if this card does not have the L-shaped RAM, is it still moddable? I have a nice VGA Silencer to slap on this baby, so hopefully I can OC it to Pro speeds anyways

Hopefully this site gets more traffic due to the stupid ads at you know where...

unfortunantly i think the 9500>9700 mod requires the l shaped RAM...

I'm also about 80+% sure that L-shaped RAM placement is a requirement to mod to 9700 specs. Sorry XP...

Hey don't feel sorry yet, the card isn't in yet! I'm crossing my fingers though...

Either way I'm still gonna have a fun time playing UT2K4, which I just bought today!

My unmodded 9500 rn it just fine at 1024, med-high detail. You'll be good either way. The "you NEED a 9800pro" attitude is bs. I'm enjoying mine, but it's not magical or anything.
