754 vs 939 processor clock for clock

What I am curious about is for clock for clock, say A64 Socket 754 3000+ Newcastle 2 GHz vs A64 Socket 939 3200+ Venice 2 GHz, if there is any performance difference... Know of any site with actual game data?

Well, I'm not speaking of performance, but I'm regretting not going 939.

My 6800gt is dying. I'm seeing artifacts and getting lockups and cashes. I've tried different drivers, reinstalled windows, ect. But the problem is getting worse. Last night I couldn't play CS:S for more than a minute without a crash.

I'd like to replace the card, but I'd like to move to PCI-E if I'm spending that kind of money so soon.(my card is just over 1 year old, I was planning on getting 3 years out of it) I'd need to replace my mobo to go PCI-E. More $ than I want to spend for the upgrade I'd like.

hmm....I guess its more being stuck with AGP that's bothering me...

So yours isn't BFG brand huh? Too bad...
Yeah, I don't think I will be upgrading anytime soon... unless due to a "loss" in the [parts]family.

My card is evga.....a lemon evga, that is. $380 up in smoke. Yeah, I'm not too happy.

I haven't overclocked anything either. I was always too nervous I'd burn up my system. Besides, the card was plenty fast anyway. That plan didn't work out so well.

Ouch... well, eVga now does offer life-time warranty on their new(er) stuff! Let that be a lesson to you... I will only purchase BFG and eVga cards from now on!
