dead motherboards, i think
i need to know if these are compatible, because when i boot i hear a beeping noise.

Yes that combination should work fine. Beeping error codes on boot can indicate several different things. Make sure you have compatable memory installed, make sure the cpu fan is plugged into the motherboard (usually a 3 pin connector). If everything is connected correctly and you still get the beeps, try resetting the CMOS (either a button or a jumper to do this - see your manual). For reference, you can google your BIOS maker and version and find a list of beep codes. Different number of beeps mean different things.
